Due to COVID restrictions, there are not many current PA Hunter Education classes. Those that are having classes are restricted to a smaller class size, so even if you find one, it may be hard to register. Depending on how regulations evolve, we may or may not have one at the PSC Main Hall.

You must know Chapters 1, 4, 5 and 9. After reading and understanding those Chapters, use the green "Register for the Course" button at the top of that page. Or go to:

After completing that form to create an account, our understanding is that you will get to a screen where students between the ages of 11 and 16 can use a code to get their class for free.

Hunter Ed offers online courses that are fully mobile-friendly from start to finish. This safety course is designed to work on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. You may complete the course at your own pace. The course can be completed in one sitting or a little at a time over several days. Log in and out at any time, and they will keep track of your progress. Most students finish the course in a few hours. The following information is taken from their website:
How do I get my Pennsylvania Hunter Education Certificate?
1. Study and pass the Pennsylvania Game Commission–Approved online course.
Study and pass the $19.95 course. Throughout the Pennsylvania Hunter Ed Course, you’ll be tested on what you’ve learned.
2. Print your Temporary Hunter Education Certificate.
After successfully completing the online course, you’ll be able to immediately print out your Temporary Hunter Education Certificate.
3. Get your Pennsylvania Hunter Education Certificate.
You’ll be mailed your permanent Hunter Education Certificate within 2-3 weeks by Hunter Ed.
